- Connect with your story

Let’s learn how to do it fluently.
STRUCTURE – The C.L.I.M.B. Formula
To talk about your city naturally, use this simple structure:
C.L.I.M.B.
| Letter | Stands For | What to Talk About |
| C | City Name + Location | Name of city and where it’s located in India |
| L | Lifestyle | Is it fast-paced, peaceful, modern, etc.? |
| I | Identity / Highlights | What is it known for? (Culture, tech, food, etc.) |
| M | Memories or Personal Feelings | A story, experience, or what it means to you |
| B | Best Things About the City | Why you love it or recommend it |
It’s how you climb to confident storytelling!
Let’s apply C.L.I.M.B. to India’s four major metros.
1. Mumbai – Fast, Energetic, Dream-Driven
I’m from Mumbai, located in the western part of India, in Maharashtra. Life here is superfast-paced, and people are always on the move. Mumbai is known as the city of dreams-home to Bollywood, finance, and amazing street food. For me, it’s a city that teaches resilience. I still remember catching local trains to college and meeting all kinds of people. The energy, the sea breeze, the vada pav-it’s something special!
2. Delhi – Historic, Diverse, Full of Contrasts
I was born and brought up in Delhi, India’s capital in the north. It’s a city that combines ancient culture with modern life. You can see historical monuments like India Gate and Qutub Minar, but also visit massive malls and tech parks. Life in Delhi is dynamic and diverse-you meet people from all over the country. My best memories are enjoying parathas in winter and walking around Connaught Place.
3. Bangalore – Tech, Trees & Traffic
“I currently live in Bangalore, in the southern part of India. It’s called the Silicon Valley of India, with lots of tech companies and startups. The weather here is lovely all year round, and it has a relaxed vibe. Yes, the traffic is crazy-but the cafes, parks, and people make up for it. I love working from a quiet café here on weekends.”
4. Kolkata – Culture, Festivals, Adda
“I’m from Kolkata, in eastern India. The city has a rich cultural vibe-it’s known for art, literature, and Durga Puja. People here love to have long conversations-what we call ‘adda.’ The pace is slower, but the warmth is real. I have so many memories of walking around New Market and enjoying rasgullas with my friends.”
EXAMPLES FROM NON-METRO CITIES
These cities are equally charming and full of character.
5. Pune – Clean, Calm, and Student-Friendly
I’ve lived in Pune for the last 6 years. It’s in Maharashtra, near Mumbai. Pune has a young, student-friendly vibe-it’s full of universities and IT companies. It’s cleaner and less crowded than Mumbai, and I love how peaceful it feels. The mix of tradition and modern life here is perfect. Plus, the food scene is amazing!
6. Bhubaneswar – Temple City with a Growing Tech Side
I’m from Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha in eastern India. It’s known as the Temple City because of its beautiful ancient temples. Over the last few years, it has developed a strong IT industry too. Life is peaceful and affordable here, and the people are very friendly. My favorite thing is visiting Lingaraj Temple early in the morning-it’s so calming.
7. Mysore – Heritage & Cleanliness
“Mysore is in Karnataka, and I’m proud to call it my hometown. It’s one of the cleanest cities in India and known for Mysore Palace and Dussehra celebrations. Life here is slow and relaxed. I love how green and calm the city is—it’s perfect for someone who enjoys peace and tradition.”
8. Chandigarh – Planned, Peaceful, and Proud
I grew up in Chandigarh, in northern India. It’s one of the most planned cities in the country and extremely clean. You’ll find beautiful roads, gardens, and lakes. The people are stylish and lively, and there’s always good food around. One of my favorite memories is cycling around Sukhna Lake in the evenings.
